Terms & Conditions
Terms and Conditions Key Points
A copy of the full terms and conditions will be sent when booking an appointment
Payment
We ask for a 25% deposit. In paying the deposit and/or attending the first appointment, parents/carers are agreeing to the terms and conditions.
Payment is required in advance of sessions and invoicing is usually on a monthly basis. Connect Therapy Services Ireland accepts cash, cheques and bank transfers. A receipt will be provided on request. Cheques should be made payable to Connect Therapy Services Ireland.
Parents/carers using private health insurance are responsible for settling the invoice and then claiming from the insurer concerned. It is advisable to check the level and nature of cover with the insurer before agreeing to therapy.
Cancellation policy
Dates for Connect Therapy Services Ireland sessions will be scheduled in advance. Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice of cancellation of appointments wherever possible. Failed appointments may be charged at the full rate.
It is parent/carer responsibility to inform the therapist should the child be absent from preschool/school on the day of a visit. Should the therapist need to cancel a session, a replacement will be offered as soon as possible.
If a parent/carer wishes to withdraw their child from therapy, at least one week’s notice should be given.
Liaison
To provide the most effective care, it is important to liaise with other professionals involved with a child’s learning and development. Where a HSE therapist is also involved with the child, parents/carers should inform the therapist. The therapists will work together collaboratively to maximise opportunities for effective therapy.
Location of Sessions
Assessments and therapy will be offered in the client’s home, preschool/school or in our clinic. It is important for the therapist and child to work in a quiet environment with minimal distractions. It is expected that the parent/carer will attend the appointments where possible.
Parent/Carer Role
Parents/carers are seen as partners in supporting a child to develop communication skills and parents/carers are required to work collaboratively with the therapist. This will include the parent/carer participating in sessions, completing carryover activities provided for home/school focus, and communicating openly about the process. Activities are usually provided to be carried out at home/school between therapy sessions. These should be practised regularly in order for the child to gain maximum benefit from the therapy.
Data Protection Policy
